Is Your Food to Blame?

April 15, 2016carlosmaza

Most disease originates in your digestive system, including physical and mental disease. By healing and sealing your gut lining, making your digestive system work properly again, disease symptoms will typically resolve themselves.

Could your DIET be ruining your digestion? That hot, burning feeling, GERD, IBS, bloating, belching, irritation?  How about constipation, gas, diarrhea?  OTC and Rx prescriptions don’t cure the problem!

Either your diet is nourishing and making you stronger, or it’s causing toxic inflammation in your body and digestive/gut disturbances.  Typically processed foods add to your inflammation, and add little nourishing qualities to fuel a healthy body.  Many of our modern day packaged foods contain genetically modified organisms (GMO), and many of those also damage our stomach and intestinal lining. When that occurs, our immune systems become inflamed, irritated, compromised; because gaps in the lining of our intestines form and allow particles to enter the bloodstream in a form they were not designed to.  This causes leaky gut syndrome (stay tuned).

For instance: Genetically modified corn1 has a gene implanted into it that when bugs take a bite of the GM plant, the toxin from the plant splits open their stomach and kills them, thus eradicating crop destruction.  What do you think it does to your gut when you eat that corn?  Research is now indicating GM foods may be interfering with our body’s immune response, and evoking a host of allergies, auto immune and other diseases; all beginning in the gut.

Something to think about.

Along with eating GM corn, soybeans, there are also the soybean oils, corn oils, and the high fructose corn syrups also made from these GM crops which not only tamper with our immune systems, but promote diabetes, high blood pressure, breast cancer, estrogen dominance, heart disease, cancer and even allergies.  Also to consider are hybrid wheat and wheat products.  It’s not wheat per se, or corn per se.  Its HYBRID wheat; HYBRID corn. We will discuss that in future posts.

For gut/digestive health avoid these:

  • Processed foods (excessive sugars, “dead” nutrients, feed pathogenic bacteria)
  • Factory-raised meats and other animal products, as CAFO animals are routinely fed low-dose antibiotics, plus genetically engineered grains, which ARE implicated in the destruction of gut flora
  • Antibiotics, unless absolutely necessary (RESEED gut with fermented foods and/or a probiotic supplement)
  • Chlorinated, fluoridated water
  • Antibacterial soap
  • Agricultural chemicals, glyphosate (Roundup)

When shopping, opt for fresh, organic produce and grass-fed beef and free ranged chicken and eggs.  Ditch processed and convenience foods at the grocery store.  Cook real food from scratch!  Your tummy will thank you! We promise!

There’s lots of simple and delicious foods you can eat that are health promoting and EASY!  We’ll post some amazingly simple gut healing recipes soon!  These amazing, whole fresh foods will heal and seal your gut and bring healing to your whole body.
